Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126 Westside is located at 99 Midgley Dr. in Westmount, Sydney, Nova Scotia B1R 1Z6 (902-562-6073 westsidelegion@outlook.com). Our mission is two-fold. First and foremost is service to veterans of the uniformed services (including RCMP), their families, and surviving family members. Second is to be a community resource to be used for gatherings, parties, and activities applicable to all members of Westmount and the Greater Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

RCL Branch 126 Westside has spaces for rent:
1) Main hall is located upstairs; measures 80feet x 40feet. Price includes 26 – 8’ folding tables and 200 chairs. Limits: 240 non-drinkers; 220 drinkers.
Rental is $50 per hour.
2) Upon request, we can operate a partial bar, attached to the hall. (We provide the bartender) This service is included in the hall rental fees. Bar operates on a cash only basis. There’s an ATM in the lounge below; accessable during normal lounge operating hours.
3) An industrial sized kitchen. The price for use is $100 per event.
4) There are coffee and tea urns available for $50 per event.

Downstairs, there’s a full lounge & bar (enter from the side door).
Hours: Wednesday & Thursday 4PM – 12PM
Friday 4PM – 12PM (Happy Hour 4PM-8PM) There’s typically some sort of live entertainment between 7PM & 10PM. No cover charge!
Saturday 4PM – 12PM
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Closed.
There are standard packaged chips, pretzels, and nuts available for a nominal fee. Nobody will complain if you bring your own food. We request you clean-up your own area.
